The following people constitute the Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Committee: Lance Carson, Chairman, Bob DeWald, Trevor Dierks, Laura Docken, Dave Epp, Kathy Fraser, Tyler Graham, Wade Greenwood, Jerry Luckett, Dan McLoud, Jim Myers, Jimmy Nicolaus, Butch Odegaard, Jim Miskimins, Stan Peterson, Dave Sietsema, Audrey Stahl, Rick Wagner and Tim Wiebelhaus.

Stock Contractor
The stock contractor for 2003 was Sutton Rodeos from Onida, South Dakota.

Rodeo Announcer
Rorey Lemmel of Rapid City, South Dakota, was the announcer for the second year in a row.

Rodeo Clowns, Barrelmen and Bull Fighters
The rodeo clown and barrelman was Gizmo McCracken of Wheaton, Missouri. The bullfighters were Mike Matt of Arlington, Arizona and Ed Goulette.

Music
Music for the rodeo performances was provided by The Company Cowboys from Wessington Springs, South Dakota.

Rodeo Queens
Twenty-five young women took part in the 2003 rodeo queen contest. The individuals crowned were:

Parade
The theme for the parade was "Welcome to Our Town, America." The winners chosen from the 122 entries were as follows:

The parade was held on Main Street in Mitchell beginning at 12:00 noon on Saturday.

Community Partnership
For the past 8 years, the CVB, City of Mitchell and Corn Palace Stampede Rode Committee have banded together to offer a tourist family traveling through Mitchell an opportunity to stay in town for an evening and enjoy a rodeo performance with seats in the crow's nest. This year's family was Mark, Elizabeth, Molly, Debbie and Elyse Weix of Merrill, Wisconsin. They were presented with free tickets to the Rodeo, a key to the City, gift baskets, and an overnight stay at a motel.

Chili Cookoff
Thirty-two entries (up from 31 in 2002) competed for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the Chili Cookoff. Approximately 1,800 people attended the event. Winners were:

Best campsite honor was given to Kamp Kritters.

Colgate Country Showdown
The Colgate Country Showdown was sponsored by Bud and Bud Light - Ellwein Distributors, Paulson Music Center and Royal River Casino. There were 13 entries. The winner was Aaron Engel. The judges were Ryan Stahle, Chris Foster and Rick Geyerman.

Rodeo Golf Classic
The golf classic was held at Lakeview Golf Course with a total of 140 golfers. The flight winners were:

Corn Palace Stampede Hall of Fame
The 2003 Hall of Fame inductees were John and Pam Miedema of Mitchell.

Parade Marshals
The 2003 Parade Marshals were the Abbott House girls.

Rodeo Buttons
Numbered rodeo buttons were sold, and at each night's performance a number was drawn and the holder of that button won $250.00. The 4 numbers were: 2145, 1446, 200 and 636.
